Waxwing and Smew at Welton Waters again.

4/1 Only personal sightings on Friday were c50 Pinkfeet flying west low over Southwood Road, Cottingham early afternoon.

5/1 Roy and Martin L were back at Welton Waters on Saturday afternoon. The drake Smew had flown across from Far Ings again and they also had 6 Waxwings, 9 Pintail and an unseasonal Peacock butterfly.

8 Lapland Buntings at Barmston this morning as well as 18 Snow Buntings and 54 Purple Sandpiper. The first winter Iceland Gull was  seen again early afternoon having been recently just up the coast at Bridlington. Check James’ blog for more from Barmston.
