Waxwings.

7/11 Reports of Twite at Atwick from RBA on Wednesday.

39 Bar-tailed Godwit, From Roy:- 9 Ringed Plover, 9 Turnstone, 200+ Dunlin, 6 Grey Plover, 2 Knot, 340 Shelduck, 17000 Golden Plovers at Paull Holme Strays.
At Tophill Low NR:   Bittern (Sth Marsh West in to roost). Also Goosander, Eurasian White-fronted Goose, 65 Curlew, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Snipe, 400+ Redwing, several Fieldfare.

8/11 Phoned by Steve Mulligan, just as I got in from work on Thursday, regarding a flock of Waxwings in Asda car park on Hessle Road, Hull. Got there with in the hour. Although initially gone missing reappeared shortly and joined Steve filling my camera memory card.

The bulk of the Waxwings, Asda, Hessle rd, Hull. Including another small flock nearby there are 125+ birds.

and now for the close up!

Also 18 Waxwings in Kirk Ella on Kerry Drive early afternoon but Steve failed to relocated them.
